One of my favourite projects this year so far has been the recycled skateboard axe that I made. Check it out. This one is gone but if you are interested in one shoot me a email or DM on Instagram. Depending on the details and they go for about $200cdn + shipping.
If you have a stack of boards or even just one skateboard that you need to remove grip from take 30 seconds and watch this video. It is the fastest and easiest way I have found.
Wooden dowel ( I just used scrap wood I had at the shop.)
Screws to attached skateboard to work bench to prevent slipping and give you use of both hands.

John shares some of his tips and tricks for cutting up a recycled skateboard and turning it into a block. His block is going to be used to make a clock but you can pretty much use it however you want. Check out some pictures and videos of the process below!
