A commanding presence, captured in over 1,000 hand-cut fragments of recycled skateboards. Each piece was individually shaped, sanded, and set into place, forming a mosaic lion that radiates strength and resilience.
No paint was applied—every hue and shade comes directly from the stained maple plies used in the boards’ original construction. The result is a natural palette layered with history, movement, and story.
The lion is preserved behind glass in a custom frame crafted from reclaimed hardwood flooring, a fitting complement to its sustainable origin.
This work is a singular creation, never to be repeated—a true original.
